She Walks in Beauty -- Lord Byron

She Walks in Beauty
Lord Byron
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
A fic based on/inspired by the above poem. Yes the original is about a female but it's not really gender specifc beyond a few pronouns.
Additional Details: Because it's a poem that's readily available to all I can't really say it has to be such and such a fandom or pairing. However anyone who knows me knows my preference for Orlibean...;-)
Due date: Whenever
Your email: I'd prefer that people just leave me a comment here or pick something on my journal and leave me a comment there. If you need the email for some reason I'll give it after that.
Blurb: I've loved this poem since I first encountered it on an episode of The Cosby Show, it popped into my head while I was plotting the fic I'm currently working on. Said fic has taken some turns where I don't know the poem will actually be featured at all anymore so I'd love to see someone do something with it.
