Challenger. [Yet another off-topic post]
Feb. 11th, 2007 10:39 amI've been watching the number of challenges increase in the comm and I'm beginning to think that we need more writers for it.
Everyone gets something out of this community's existence. A writer can get a bunny, write something they'd never have thought of otherwise, can give away a bunny they're unable to use, etc. Meanwhile, a reader can get their fix and get to read some fic[s] specific to what they like.
Everyone wins!
The only 'rules' that are really important in this community are mentioning [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] somewhere in the header of the fic and that anyone can take up any challenge, that it's not first come-first serve.
I don't consider [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] to be my community; it's a community, our community, so please don't take this as me being all bossy and/or mod-ly when I ask y'all if it's at all possible, could you please slip a mention of the comms existence into a post or recommend it when a friend mentions a challenge or idea.
The more the merrier, eh?
And apathy kills more comms than a mouse with a machine-gun.

Date: 2007-02-11 12:03 am (UTC)Perhaps things will pick up writing wise after V-Day, if people are like me, or some other writers I've talked to, they're already bogged down with two or three challenges for the holiday.
I wish I could say with certainly, oh I can pick up some, but I'm pretty hit and miss over what inspires me so I never really know when something's going to click.

Date: 2007-02-11 02:28 am (UTC)It's not apathy with me, I've been inspired by a challenge. Have beginning written, fully know the ending, getting from A to B has had me staring a blank screen for quite a while. Otherwise, like
I will pimp the comm here and there, especially with people I know enjoy challenges.
