Challenge 105
Jul. 13th, 2011 03:08 pmThis week I pulled a handful of lines from various poems. You may find inspiration from the line itself, or if you'd like to consider the whole poem, click through for the text at poets.org.
The apology wends off as smoke ground to gravel. (from "The Dogs" by Joshua Marie Wilkinson)
no one believes air is the enemy (from "The Tongue" by Chris Martin)
full of the things we desire, or only those we deserve (from "Complaint" by William Logan)
You said we waded through the mysteries to get here. (from "Complaint" by William Logan)
However inelegant it was, it was what it might have been to be alive (from "A Meadow" by Lucie Brock-Broido)
Original fic, any fandom, any genre; real and fictional person pairings; slash, gen or het; fics, graphics, or videos. The goal is to inspire creation of any stripe and color. And most importantly, have fun.
If this interests or intrigues you, if you think you'd like to play around with the theme, or if you already have an idea that's just itching to be realized, please comment to this post to express your interest. This doesn't commit you to creating something based on this challenge; it just gives us an idea about what things the community members find most compelling.
